Need to check KDP???
Need to check KDP???
I have read in the Tech Facts that it states that the KDP problem only relates up to 98.5 engines, but in other threads people are talking about 99 & 2000 model years, can anyone please tell me which is correct .
I am just about to purchase a boost gauge, along with a pyrometer, and oil pressure gauge,
up to what psi do i need for the boost gauge. Thanks in antisipation.
And a Happy Christmas to you all from all of us................

With a '99 I would suggest you check it out. I've done several '99's, some had the new case, others had the old. All '00's I've done had the new case, so I don't usually do them unless the owner is paranoid. Every '98 I've done had the old case, so the switch happened sometime in '99.
If you aren't going to modify the truck (yeah, sure) 35 psi is enough.
