Need APPS help please
I have a 2000 3500 A/T, and I am trying to do the APPS adjustment. This is after I've drilled/cleaned/lubed it. The problem is that I am getting 4.35V with key on on orange/blu wire, then if I rotate the shaft slightly, it goes to .427V. This .427 is constant thru the shaft travel. The tag on the APPS has a value of .455VDC. I am in need of feedback, as I don't want to purchase one if not needed (like everyone else) I also need a part # for a new APPS. I've been told it's a part # 4002066. # on the back of my old one is #56028184 - 9299RF? The reason for all of this is I would loose OD intermittenly, as well as lock-up issues. I have a TCI billet converter and a valve body kit installed w/gauges, Edge comp-4" ext & bhaf (just fyi) I am also gonna do a mystery switch for lock-up and a noise filter while im under the hood. Do a search on this site for what you are asking,,Lot of info on it here..
Just one question first ,, Are your Battery terminals Clean??
Usally the APPS will not give you the problems you are having. What happens when unlock occures is usally some interference to the signal to keep the convertor locked. Around here we have had to isolate the circuit from the alternator to keep the convertor locked. I can give ya number in whom to call so you can find out how to remedey this............shoot me a PM.
