Please help with APPS code P2121

I have a 2007. I have been getting intermittent codes of P2121. It’s the accelerator pedal position sensor. On m truck it is located above and attached to the accelerator pedal. Not the bell crank style like on the older trucks. I replaced it thinking that was the problem. I also cleaned the plug at that location. After about a week, the problem returned with the same code. On one occasion, it gave me several codes all related to the APPS. One said something about low voltage.

I have no idea what else could be causing this. Every once in a while it will reset, but then it returns. When it fails, I loose throttle control for a short while. It’s not good when I am towing the 5th wheel.

Any ideas before I take it to the dealership and have to pay out the…..

Thanks

Codes - maybe bad battery

I had this code (P2121) along with two other codes; P2123 & P0514 during the winter, usually when very cold at start up.

It has not happen to me since but I believe it might be due to a bad battery. In my case, I believe one of the batteries was freezing.

I suggest that you load test each of your batteries to find out if one is bad. This may be the cause of your code.
