Are my heater grids cycling normally?
I know how and when and why my grids cycle but I did notice the other day that if I ramp up to around 1200 RPM and hold it there the grids will come on and stay on for as long as I hold that RPM. Is this normal? I could see where this would be good if I had a high idle set up.

That's normal for the grid heater to come on and stay on if you ramp up the idle. Mine does the same thing... I pretty sure it becuase of the increased air flow is cooler and the ECM kicks the heat back on because of the lower air temp (below 68*F)
I hope this helps...
