Moving from an HTB2 62/13 SS to HX35...
What do I need? I have a new HX35 I picked up for a good price and I know I will need to change something on the new turbo; I just don't know what; I'm guessing the exhaust side flange maybe?
I do know my exhaust pipe will not fit to it. I will post a few pics of the turbo tonight and hopefully you guys can give me some input.
For those who are going to ask why I am changing; I will more than likely be giving the truck to Dad and the way it is setup, he will melt something lol. I want to make it user friendly for a non diesel head lol.
Thanks!

Down pipe flange and oil return line is pretty much it. I wish I had kept my HTB2, I could use it on my 1st gen.

Maybe I should just make a twin setup with the HX35 ans the HTB2. Thoughts on that?
Thanks!

When I went from the H1C to the HTB2 on my 91.5, I had to completely redo the oil return line because of were the waste gate actuator was. Pointing out the side instead of the front like the HX.

Thanks for the pic.
One thing I notice on my new turbo, is that there is a wastegate, but no hose connected to the intake turbine (is it called that?) Is that needed or do I need to drill, tap and add a fitting?

Yes, you will need to drill and tap for a fitting. You might as well spurge and get an adjustable boost elbow
My 01 is stock except for the turbo. I replaces the HY35 with an HX35. It lowered my EGT and I noticed no change is spooling.
