mounting 16 wheels

I am getting ready to buy axles from a 2005 3500. Is thier any problems when installing them into a 1998.5 3500. Will the 16 wheels fit or will i need to go to a 17 or larger wheel?

I believe the size of the disc rotor and caliper will not allow clearance for anything smaller than a 17" wheel.

the larger rotors/caliper brackets WILL NOT allow the 16 to fit. your gonna need the 17's from the 05 as well

Some aftermarket 17's won't even clear the brakes on the 3rd gens, so be aware when wheel shopping.

Ditto above statements on need for 17 inch wheels.
