Mine has GOT to be something with the temperature of the motor. It fires up like a champ when cold or just not HOT. If i shut it off to go in the store and come back out, it will turn several times. I just can't figure it out. FASS is working fine, no leaks from the tank to the pump. can't be an air leak or it would give problems cranking especially when cold i would think.

Mine is doing it too. I know it is getting air somewhere because it will do it anywhere anytime. I actually have to park somewhere that is pitched so I can park with the nose pitched downward and it will start everytime. If I park level I have to bump the starter to get the pump to stay on to press. up then when I hit 14psi I start cranking, it still takes 5-7 turns to crank.
If I park with the nose up. Forget about it, I might as well just pay someone to crank it while I take a lunch break.

I'm having the same problem as well now. I put on the Airdog 100 system a couple weeks ago and have been driving the truck to my jobsite about 35 miles a day since then with no problems till the other day.
Could it be getting too much pressure? I had to order the special fitting for adding my fuel pressure gauge to the Airdog system and haven't had a chance to put it on yet. I need to get the fuel pressure gauge hooked up soon, but I'll check the fuel lines to see if something maybe came loose since the installation.
Also, I don't know if running straight ulsd after running tanks with either 2 stroke oil or powerservice sometimes could have something to do it with it, but I did forget to add the 2 stroke oil last time I filled up after running the fuel tank way under 1/4.

Funny I stumbled on this thread. Mine has just started doing it too right after I just replaced the cannister filter. Never had this problem before. Runs like a champ when I get it started.
Could it be air? If a pocket of air is in their would it cause this problem? Would that pocket eventually bleed out or do I need to bleed it myself?
What about the fuel filter? Any chance that would be it?
thanks.
