Most miles on truck
#16
1st 150000 miles, every 3000 +/- mi., then every 7500+/- mi. till I hit 400000mi, now it's every 8-9000 +/- miles. Only time valves adjusted was when head gasket was changed. Let me say that I don't do a lot of heavy towing but have a time or two. The only off-road I do is 4-5 times a year when I go hunting or fishing.

I changed mine for the first 150,000 every 5000 miles, then when crude oil prices went up and oil prices went to new highs, I changed to every 10,000 miles.
The truck now has 240,000 and I was considering going back to every 5000 miles.
My 1992 I did the valves adjustment every 50,000 and the performance did change with valve adjustment, this 2001 they say it's not necessary, but I can hear them clattering a little.

425509 miles on the meter. #2 transmission build by pros in Finland, low stall turbine (that sucks in the wintertimes). I change oil about 20k miles Castrol semisyntethic and trans service at 100k miles. It takes motoroil about qarter/10k miles.
My truck is only used as a workhorse and it most certainly has served me well. You cant drive allmost a half million miles with a crappy car, i think.
Ofcource i take a good care/maintenance my truck seriously and best of all,,, im pretty proud of it.

I have a 2001 2500 cummins RWD truck that has 406427 in the meter.
The trans has been rebuilt 3 times and the motor is original, never even opened for inspection.
It is my work truck. (Ilive in Finland)
Im planning to hit 1000 000 miles whit it.
I had my first Dodge truck at -99 it was the w250 Cummins that i drove 300 000 miles before i sold it.

331000 on my 99. 1 VP pump, 2 lift pumps and 1 transmission. Numerous front Rotors. Finally Swapped in a 2000 or 2001 axle. Would take it cross country with no worries. 03 has 208000 1 transmission, 1 clutch(smoked it), rebuilt injectors FWIW.

454225 miles on the meter. 2001 2500 rwd. I use the truck as a working vecihle 5 days a week, about 200 miles a day. I bought it from Florida few years ago and it is in Finland now. Transmission had to be rebuild 2 years ago n it has all the bulletproof parts that it needs to handle the Quadzilla chip. Converter is allso a lower stall version (made in Finland). Last summer it went 15,04/ qarter mile, wich is not so bad for a truck so high miles and the fact that the track was very slippery, as runways usyally are.

Fuelpressure gauge was intalled after first transfer pump passed away.
Too bad that you have so crappy fuel, that breaks those pumps.

There could be something between Finnish and American diesel fuel,, (to be continiued)
In Finland we have wery controlled fuel tax system. All traffic fuels are taxed,,, but gasoline is taxed by liters/gallons. And thats all. You think its great,, huh?,,,,NOPE.
Gas costs about 1,5e/litre. 2bucks/qart. cheap HUH? 8 Bucks/gallon HUH?
Diesel costs about 1,2/litre A little less.
Why diesel costs less than gas?
Simple. Diesel vecihle owners pay / the weight of the vecihle some fueltax.
some cents/100kg
Heavy vecihle pays more
For exampel 6.5 diesel chevy suburban 4X4 the tax can be about 4000e,,, 4500bucks
So you have to drive a heck to compencate the tax difference. Wellcome to Finland
