missfire?
so i though my tranny was slipping or the torque converter was slipping but today i got on it a little and at higher rpm with the edge on level 5 the truck seemed to misfire. So now i am thinking that the tranny isn't the problem i think the truck has a intermitent missfire. I did an injection pump recently so i don't think its that, so next i am thinking i might have an injector starting to go bad. what else could be the problem any other ideas or simple things to check first. I have been wanting to upgrade to bigger injectors but have been waiting to save some money first but this would be a good reason to do it now. Any thoughts and advice is appreciated.

Mine misfires cruising down the road with the fifth wheel trailer. It does this when under a slight load just above maintaining speed (60 mph),like up a small incline. if I get on it, it's not as bad, or if I let off, it's not bad. I can't detect it driving solo without a load. I put new RV275 injectors on and just installed a new VP44. Did not fix it. In fact, after installing the injectors, I had to remove the BD chip because the problem was worse and it ran smoother without it.
I have searched hundereds of threads on many forums and found no solution. Lots of people have the same issue but nobody seems to have fixed it.
By the way, my truck is a 6 speed so I know it's not a transmission problem.
I Think it's a timing issue, I'm thinking of changing the ECM.

ok i will try cleaning my grounds. my truck has seen some mud so theres a good chance there is a dirty ground wire or two. I have been paying closer attention to try and narrow it down when it does it more it seems to do it when the motor is on the cold side not a stone cold motor but before the t-stat has had a chance to open and like while the tranny temp is still below 120ish i don't know if any of this info makes a difference but who knows. thanks to all for advice.
