Max EGT

Is there a maximum Cummins spec for EGT? I have seen different figures for different setups and what people are comfortable with for themselves. What does Cummins say? I have an 01 HO. What is the max acceptable continuous EGT (while towing) per the factory?

1250* is as far as I'd go but the Cummins is actually safe to a maximum of 1350* for extended periods of time. What I mean by that is.....just because Cummins proved that with high dollar monitoring equipment, I wouldn't trust my pyrometer enough to let my EGT's sit at 1350* or even 1300* for more than a few seconds. Thats why 1250* is the safe max. But with that said, there's guys out there with some aggressive power modification who can literally peg their pyro but the smart ones only let that happen for a few seconds.
