Getting an 0237 code and I suspect the MAP is dirty or faulted. Picked up a new one from Cummins but it looks a bit different than the one in the truck (and a 1 1/16 socket fits it perfectly). What size socket do I need to remove it? 1 1/16 is too small, 1 1/8 is too big so I'm suspecting a 28mm? Can anyone confirm?

 

Mine takes a 1 1/16" IIRC. It shouldn't be in very tight.

 

Mine is the original sensor, my replacement takes 1 1/16" but the one in the truck doesn't. The socket stops at the plastic housing right before the head. I"ll try a 28mm I guess - and see how it goes. Now that I've messed with it the error code went away so who knows....

 

I use a deep on mine...

My replacement oil sender was a different size by the way.....

 

Keith you don't even need it with the Comp. I ran mine unplugged the whole time I ran the Comp.
