Question low fuel pressure warning on startup

2001 5.9 quad 4x4 auto juice with attitude dtt trans. also rasp fuel pump.
i just replaced fuel filter, with napa. never used one before, but i was there so i bought one, now i start up my truck, fuel pressure is slow to climb. and the warning beeper is going off for a few seconds.. but the pressure does go up. it was as low as 2psi for approx 2 seconds. any idea why this would do this. i also replaced my serpentine belt at the same time, and had to remove my RASP fuel pump.reinstalled it, but it was just a few bolts, i touched nothing else. oh yea. as im driving it maintains 15-17 psi as always. late post, but im heading to california monday am..... i hope. any input is good. i might start off by going to the dealer on monday am for an OEM fuel filter.

if you could measure fuel pressure before and after the filter, that would indicate for sure a bad/faulty filter

I'd replace the filter again IF it did not do this before the filter change, I personally dont think its a big worry during a start, it could also be a delayed reading on your gauge as well, thats why I said it ould be nice to read pressure before and after the filter to compare readings.

no matter what you should have a spare filter under the seat...just incase you get a bad batch of fuel....it only takes one tank to plugg up a filter
