long crank after towing

long crank after towing

one of my 01s (HO) is acting up....its taking 10-15 sec. of cranking to fire.BUT only after towing on the hwy for awhile,the rest of the time it runs and starts perfect. it has no codes.
any one have this happen? is my VP being kind and letting me know its tired?120,000 mile on orig. pump

Im headed down the Baja next month should i change it and put a blue chip vp on

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? maybe running out of fuel ... just a shot in the dark

Does it start and then die, then the 10-15 second crank before it fires again? Mine does that but only after a long tow on the hwy as well but not every time. Normally after I put fuel in.

Waiting for the experts.

no once it starts it stays running it seems like a heat issue
