Long battery cable.....

A buddy of mine needs the long battery cable that runs from 1 battery to the next on his 01 cummins. I believe he said it was the positive cable. Where is the best place to pick up that part thanks.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
You could look at local salvage yard. You can probablly purchase from a dealer. You can have one made up at local large truck service facility. You could buy 2-0 welding cable and terminals and make your own.

I used heavy welding cable when I replaced mine about two years ago, and it works fine. HOWEVER.... the insulation is already starting to show some cracking, and that was unexpected. I guess welding cable is expected to be replaced fairly often, though I've had the same cables on my arc welder for about 25 years now.... Maybe the under-hood environment gets to them
