No, mine is a non-step bottom, true deep V. Runs mid 80's.
A good friend from Michigan has a 43 Black Thunder with 540's called "Patriyacht". I rode with him on a poker run last weekend in it, nice rig. Doesnt ride like my Cig though

Sorry for the off topic boys , back to our regularly scheduled rant about lift pumps

I have to ask, what was your truck doing that it made you look into th LP? The reason I ask is because, mine started (I'll call it) missing or surging when I get into it. Don't know why either, but it really sucks when you need that extra go. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

check your codes, key on/key off, key on/key off, key on and look at the odometer. p0216 is the dreded lift pump code. good luck.

I thought that code meant the IP was going out. My lift pump is just under the test limit. For example, if the test required 1.3L in x time, mine is putting out 1.0L this is what the mechanic said. They tried to push it through as warrnaty put since my truck is out of warranty due to time. > 5yrs. They denied it. I ordered the intank lift pump conversion. Hope this helps. Also while I was there he pulled the codes for me the 'puter was clean.

The benefit is that although you only get 10 psi the flow rate is according to our techs that just returned from school on this is about 80% more than what the stock LP used to be. This gives you more volume to the vp44 and it will only use what it needs anyway returning the rest back to the tank.

Yip that is what I was looking for when eyeing other possible replacements. I found a couple pumps, with like 12 psi but 120GPH. If this pump is "only" 10 psi but the GPH is up there, like it seems to be, it should do me fine. If the FP starts dropping after some BOMBs, Worse case I run a stock LP and the intank together. I believe going with the intank will also leave other options open as well if need be.

I have a 24v cummins and it was surging and such. when it was cold or hot either way no differnce. Then my check engine light came on and i had the dreaded code of 2016 and 1689 adn 1693, i tried replacing the lp but no fail it was still the injection pump, i replaced both pmps and truck seems to be doin well, i faound a good deal on the lp from cummins, cost me under 200 shipped to my door and found a good diesel shop that furnished the vp 44 and labor for under 1500 bucks, helped alot, neither help with either let me know and i will help u out if i can.

Good luck! Don't take no for an answer. Call Dodge customer service and Keep calling them to get what you want. The dealer denied me the warranty. I told them to hold on any work and called dodge customer service myself and complained to them. don't take no for an answer. Finally dodge warranted it but made me pay a $200 deductable. Then the ******* ship charged me sales tax on the deductable. That dealer lost a customer and I let anyone I know looking for a dodge product to stay away from them.

lift pump warranty info

Ok talked to service manager at different dealership he's a friend of my cousin said the lift pump IS covered by the 100k 5yr motor warranty! he said the guy at the other dealership is a pric or is on crack ! said either way he's tryin to screw me over, they'll say its not, cause the replacement is in the fuel tank and if u dont know the original was attached to the motor they're not gonna tell u and they'll just rip u off for parts and labor. not really suprizing ! hope this helps anybody fightin with the warranty.
