Lift pump removal

Looking for advice on the removal on my 24V lift pump (external). I need the easiest and most simple instructions or illustrations on removing mine. Is it throught the top or bottom or both? Do you move fuel filter cannister for easier access? It looks lik it is hard to reach either way. Is the fender well the best way? Thanks for any info.

Open the hood, get on the fender, reach down. Unscrew the fittings and the mounting bolts. You have to reach down but there is nothing complicated or difficult, really. I did not remove the fuel filter. Some maneuvering will be needed when removing it upward but not hard either.

I just remove the filter assy, and unbolt.

If my big hands can do it easy, it will be a cakewalk for 99 percent of the population.

Amen, it looks like a tougher job than it actually is. No reason to get under the truck unless you drop somthing.

The instructions I had said to remove the starter and do it from the
bottom. I threw the instructions away and did it from the top like patdaley said and it was really easy. LOL.
