Lift Pump Questions

So I have been doing a lot of research here at DTR and have learned quite a bit but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I have a 98.5 24valve Cummins and I am in the market for a new Lift Pump. It's between the Airdog 150 and the Raptor 150. I just bought this truck so I don't know the whole past life of it but it seems to be working great so far. It has 220,000 miles on it and the thing that worries me is that I have heard that if I were to buy the Airdog, I run the risk of blowing the front seals on the injection pump because it may be old and the Airdog has no pressure regulator. This is what is swaying me to the raptor but I would just like to gain as much knowledge about these issues as possible. Any body with help feel free to chime in.

From what I've seen so far, you will get lots of different opinions on both. I've been in the market for one for a little while now, as my VP is on the verge of puking out any day now. You can always add a regulator inline to keep the pressures down on the Airdog. And not to make your decision any harder, but have you considered a mechanical pump? I've been leaning towards that route.

Is your old pump going bad, you looking to chip it or anything, or just want some reassurance for your VP?
