i have a 2002 dodge i have a edge comp box set on 40 when i go and hit around 1800 rpm it surges (cutsout) but if i turn my chip off the truck does ii higher rp like 2200 this happened before and the lift pump was going bad is there a way i can check it my self since the only person around my town said it would cost me 100 for him to tell me i just replaced it like a year ago it shouldnt be bad yet should it?

 

turn key to on and off 3 times, if there's any codes they will be displayed on your clock in P0000 format. You should get fuel pressure gauge to see what PSI your pump is getting.

 

you have to get a fuel pressure reading if you don't then you can never tell if it bad or not the fuel pressure is very critical if it is bad the lp has to pull it's own fuel so it won't be there when a demand is placed on the injectiuon pump you should look into punctuation also JMHO

 

Were do I get one at? And are they spendy?

 

Is 6 lbs @ Idle good stock or going (south), thats what mine was when I put my AD on.
