Lift pump - FASS DDRP
Lift pump - FASS DDRP
Hi all
Was wondering if I can use the DDRP which I purchased when the truck went in for VP44 replacement (again). I believe that the the dealer did the in tank retro fit lift pump. Can I still use the FASS DDRP with the in-tank set up?
Thanks

You will either need to find a stock sending unit to go back to or contact your dealer you got the DDRP kit from and we can build you a line kit with a STK-1001 that would by-pass the in-tank pump.
What is needed to use a suciton tube with the DDRP is as follows:
1 -- STK-1001 (Suction Tube Kit)
14' -- FL-1001 (3/8's Hose)
1 -- BF-4001 (Banjo End fitting converting to 3/8" pushlock)
Thanks Dan
I have not contacted the place I got the DDRP from, I assume that they will have those parts that I need??? Also what is involved in installing this kit? Would I need to drop the tank and remove the in tank pump? Do you have a link to some instructions, or is it better to just return the DDRP and try something else?
Thanks
Mike

The tank is will need to be dropped any way you look at it if you have the in-tank pump. Either to put the stock sending unit back in or to install the suction tube kit.
I do not have instructions other than the FASS and HPFP kits for the 2005+ trucks that requires the a suction tube kit to be installed. You can glean off that and get the gist of it.
See Pages 7 and 8 here.....
Now we do have the HPFP (The kit instructions i linked to above) that you could install and make work. If you are 100% positive you have the in-tank pump installed, you can order the kit for the 05+ trucks and it will come with everything need to complete the install. BUT this will only work if you have the in-tank pump.
Part number is: HPFP-95-1004 (For the 2005+ Dodge)

Thanks again Dan
So when I call the place that I ordered the DDRP from, I tell them that they relocated the pump to the tank and tell them that I need -
1 -- STK-1001 (Suction Tube Kit)
14' -- FL-1001 (3/8's Hose)
1 -- BF-4001 (Banjo End fitting converting to 3/8" pushlock)

If the pump has been relocated, it would have been done by the dealer and there should be an extension harness plugged into the 2 wire connector near the starter running towards the tank.
