Is KDP a problem for 98.5's????
Ok, here's the rundown.. There is a girl I am sort of talking to, and she has a 98.5 3500 ISB, and I told her about the KDP, but need to know for sure, before I go and ask for the jig to be sent this way.. Can y'all chime in and help me out??

-Chris-

KDP can be a problem on the '98.5 and early '99s. I have had mine fixed - in my opinion it is good insurance. I wouldn't hesitate. Fix it for her.

Stan

Re:Is KDP a problem for 98.5's????
It stands for Killer Dowel Pin. KDP is made famous by the '94 to '98.5 engine. It is an assembly pin in the timing case that can fall into the timing gears wreaking havoc with your engine. There are several ways to prevent this and the most popular is simply bolting a tab cover to hold the pin inside the case.
