Happy to report my truck just turned 400,000kms today, I bought it from a Farmer in late May 2007 it had 297,000kms then now 17months later lots of parts and many hours of run time, its still running like a champ!actually 10times better than when I bought it

1)New VP (nothing wrong with the orginal)
2)Airdog (2 LP's later decided to upgrade)
3)1 alternator
4)Edge EZ
5)4 inch Magna flow exhaust
6)BHAF
7)used Jammer II's
8)one set of rear drums/shoes
9)At least 6 sets of front pads and 2nd set of rotors (brakes last longer now that I've gone to the larger wheel cyls, and lengthened the rear prop rod)
10)Rebuilt tranny with transgo and billet cover TC
11) oil pressure switch
12) IAT
13) Shocks front &rear
14) u-joints 1 front 2 rear
15) 2 track-bars
16) steering brace
17) heater core
18) after market headlights (self explanatory)
19) steel rims, aluminum ones had cracks in them
20) 3rd set of tires
21) one tank of fuel EVERY 2 days!!!

I'm sure there are parts I have not listed, alot of stuff I have changed because it was a performance upgrade, or I was unsure of its condition (read VP). keep in mind my truck runs at least 8hrs a day 5 days a week, and the mileage does not fairly reflect the use the truck sees. all in all this truck has been good to me, the poor old 6.5 chev I used to own, could not even compare to the Cummins

Just hoping the next 400,000 go just as smooth

Thundercaft how long did the 53 last ? Did you just switch everything over to the new block including the pistons with new rings of course? What did it end up costing to change over .
