Today i recieved a code 1698... looked it up in snap on tool reader and it said no Transmission Buss COmm.

 

P1698 No CCD/J1850 Message From TCM
No CCD/J1850 messages received from the electronic transmission control module (EATX) or the Aisin transmission controller.

OR

P1698 No CCD Messages received from PCM
Bus communication failure to PCM. A Companion DTC was set in both the ECM and PCM.

 

That would be a comm problem between control units or different areas of the same control unit if they are integrated. Have you had a recent battery failure or had to jump start your truck? I would clear it and see if it repeats. Do you have any other symptoms?

 

it only came up once.. the truck feels so powerful still.. im amazed with the new tranny built.. we had it on the dyno today and we spun the tires about 5-6 times trying to get a good pull from a 45mph roll...
