Installing Hobbs switch

I want to try out putting in a Hobbs switch to limit the amount of pressure my pump sees (when it is hot). Some of you said on a few posts ago that was a good possibility that it turning over several times before firing could be due to the FASS shoving too much pressure onto the pump. can someone give me a place to get it, what i need, and how to install it.

Here is a link to the switch.

I returned my FASS so I never tried the Hobbs switch. But I think you just plumb a tee off the oil pressure sender on the block and wire the power for the FASS through the switch.

Hope this helps.

So is your truck not starting very well on your first turn??? Have you checked your grid hearters? My Fass hasn't given me any problems when starting. Usually the lift pump (wherether fass, airdog, or raptor) turn off before the "wait to start" light turns off. Which means you have o psi when starthing.

Definitely not the heater. I live in South Louisiana and it just is not cold enough-ever. It fires immediately in the morning. It just when it is hot. Think i will try to re-wire that is mentioned. A couple of my friends have the FASS and they don't have this issue either. THanks for all y'alls help.

Glad I could help.

I wish I had known about that fix before I returned my FASS.

Oh well, my stock LP is doing just fine
