Inline filter between tank and LP

It seems like I have read on here a lot of guys with inline filters between the tank and LP. I was just wondering the best place to find them and which brands work the best.

I ran a similar thread under mods, 24V. Many solutions. I like the Summit 40 micron in line with removeable screen. NAPA has a 120 micron in line for a few bucks. Seems like a coarse filter, 40-120 micron is highly recommended, especially with the cost of lift pumps.

I've got a 40 micron filter between the tank and LP, pretty cheap insurance for the LP. With no filter there is no warranty... for the record I LOVE the FASS LP, works the way it should (one of the few things that do in this world), some say its noisy, but compared to the injection pump I do not notice any noise. Mines installed right under the filler neck.

My FASS installer used a NAPA 3270 inline filter that has worked well for me. Installed between the tank and LP with a 120 mesh that runs under $10.

I recommend a metal screen type filter which is easier to pull fuel thru, but still accomplishes it's purpose... protecting the pump from sucking up nasty stuff.

I have read here recently that if it's a paper filter, or one with too small of microns, the pump will have to work harder, thus shortening it's life and it may pull hard enough to suck up some of the paper over time. At least enough to clog the output of the filter itself. Who knows... I use a metal strainer type inline filter to protect my Walbro.
