injectors
I have heard you can add 50hp worth of fueling, with 75 being iffy. But I have a buddy who is a commercial firewood processor and his stock engine has eaten 3 torque converters, so I guess it depends on what you do with it.
Otherwise +1 to what rebal said.

I wouldnt put a converter and vb in a trans with high miles. Whats the mileage like on the truck? A set of RVs shouldnt be too bad on it if your nice to it. Higher mileage trans will come apart with higher pressures from the VB.
Stock 02 upgrades
HI. I have an 02 stock truck. about 168k miles.
I want to eventually upgrade the truck.
Can I start with injectors for the upgrade, or should I start with the intake or exshaust manifolds first.
If I add bigger injectors first, will it hurt the truck??
Tow heavy sometimes. gvw 18K

The only issue with doing injectors first would be egt's. Bigger exhaust is a good match for injectors to allow the turbo to keep up. Especially towing.
I wouldn't worry about the intake-its pretty good stock, and the exhaust manifold is fine unless it warps or cracks, which is somewhat common.
I ran 100hp tips and 4" exhaust for a long time with everything else stock and was fine with it, but I have a stick and the bigger 13" clutch. More than 100hp worth of fueling and I think the turbo needs to be turned up and a boost fooler device added.
Injectors (or just tips) can add a tremendous amount of power for very little money, though.

Injectors
Well, I didn't want to blow something up. I'm hoping to change the fuel pump, add larger injectors, larger turbo and a tuner. Larger exhaust, maybe some motor work later. But, I want the truck to be a daily driver. Not a parts pile.
Factory manifold on 01's and 02's are stronger and very seldom crack... unless abused!
