Injector life?
The injector has not failed in most cases but the electronics has. I have lost two injectors fail because of out of tolerance, which caused lost of power, I replaced #3 injector last week at a cost of $620.00 installed.
Years ago, i purchased brand new BOSCH rv275 injectors for like 250.00 for all 6 on ebay. My truck is a HO, and ive been told they are good for about 40 HP.
I do have to agree, if the truck is not down on power, no need to replace the injectors just because of mileage.
Dont fix whats not broke.
If you want more power, by all means replace with larger.

After 200k miles, they are likely a bit dirty and the pop off pressures are probably down a bit. You can have them cleaned and re-popped for $150 for the set, or there abouts. But if you want bigger injectors, quit trying to justify it and just buy them.

Sounds like I should leave well enough alone. However the last post brought up the idea of bigger injectors. If I go up to get more HP will I not also get higher EGTs? I pull a trailer from time to time and in the mountains I have bumbed up against 1300 degrees occasionally. More HP would have been fine but not more heat. I guess then the next thing would be a better intercooler radiator. What do you guys think? I have the DTT tranny and run an Edge EZ on #3.
I am replacing a 99 24V with 250k on it as we speak that lost #1 cyl due to a bad injector that washed it out . it seemed to run perfect the truck was pulling a 4 horse all aluminum trailer on the highway with the pyro at 750-800 when it went out had all the injectors tested and all 6 were bad ,but the truck ran great
