Mike the 12V injector is in the side of the head, and is external... the function is still the same.... when you go to a 4V per cylinder, you normally move the injector to the middle of the cylinder.. on the 12V you can get pretty close to the middle of the cylinder from outside the valve cover.... The trick on the 12V injectors is the that the holes in the injector tip are not inline with the body of the injector, because they are at an angle, but the spray pattern has to spray in to the top of the piston equally... the 24V injectors the holes are in the same location around the injector tip, but because it is centered on top of the piston bowl..
