I Was Told Today.....
that if you pull the tube off of the turbo that there is a plate in there held on by a cotter pin basically. they said it was there to restrict airflow. is this true or was this guy talking out of his ****? would it help to take it out if this is true? sounds like it would if it is really in there.
There's a silencer ring in there that's held in place by a snap ring.
It doesn't cost you any power at all-- it just reduces the whistle from the turbo. People who like the turbo whine sound usually pull it out.

well i pulled it today....just want to make sure i got the right thing. i didnt really notice a defference with it idleing. is it a ring about 1/2" all the way around the inside of the turbo housing held in by a snap ring? will take it for a drive a little later to see if i can hear the difference

yeah i cant quit grinning when i drive it. i am going to do a custom intake on it this week with a cone filter and no baffles in air tube for now. will eventually buy entire kit. should sound even better with more airflow!!
