ok, just put on brand new head, exhaust manifold, and turbo, now i drove it about 8 miles and came back home to realize about 2 quarts of oil leaked out of what i believe to be the long thing that runs along side the drivers side of the block that the crandkcase vent tube hooks in to. That never leaked before and now leaks like hell, has anyone else had this problem after doing a head gasket or new head, and if so how hard is it change that gasket out behind that "thing that the crankcase vent tube hooks in to"??? It looks like the injector pump needs to be removed but im not sure, all input on this subject will be greatly appreciated
They might have added too much oil, in which case the overflow gets blown out the vent tube. Drive it awhile and check your oil level in the "Safe" zone and let us know.... The vent tube should plug into a bottle (puke bottle) or be run down below the axle to drain. Don't know what the gasket is....
