Homemade High Idle Control

I had my 24-valve reflashed for the cold temp idle control and it hasn't worked yet. So i thought of an ideal of using a manual choke control cable and i'm am going to connect it to the extra hooks on the throutal body under the cover on the engine and running it to the cab so i can have an manual idle controler, to speed the warm up of my truck in the mornings. If it works i will try to post some pictures of it on here. I think it will work good if my plan works. Also does anyone know where to get chrome engine accesories for the cummins.<br>Wes

I did basically the same thing, with a locking throttle cable. Except I didn't go through the firewall. I just drilled a little hole in the top of the footfeed arm, fed the cable through it, put a throttle stop on the other side, and, tahdah!!! Pull the cable, lock it, and fast idle.
