Help - Truck Stalling on Cold Start
Help - Truck Stalling on Cold Start
I have a 1999 Dodge 2500 CTD with about 86K on it and live in VA. I run this truck mostly on weekends to work around the farm. The last couple of weeks I hit the grid heater till the light goes out and then start the truck (it starts easy) - it runs for about a second then stalls. I restart it (starts easy) and then it runs fine. I guess I could plug the thing in and see if it still stalls on a warm block.
I run 45 C diesel with PS additive in it at 3 gallons per oz. Supposedly the SS 45 C diesel already has additive in it when I buy it. So I don't see how this could be a gel problem.
I don't know if this is the start of pump problems or a position sensor. I would appreciate some advice on how I should proceed. If it is a transfer pump I guess I can swith it to a vulcan kit and get a new transfer pump.
I appreciate your advice.
