I'l have to say I love the rear disc brakes my 2002 has, my 95 had drums and compared to this truck it sucked. With an 01 you shouldn't have a 53 block but don't quote me on that. The LP and FP can be slved easily with either a FASS system or a vulcan kit, I plan on a vulcan kit because of my budget. Now from how I understand it, the VP44's reliability is just the luck of the draw. My first one lasted till 85,000, I have 105,000 on the truck now.
