Hello
Hello
I slammed on my brakes to miss a collision . And afterwards my truck wouldnt rev over 1,500rpm and would only go 35mph. Missing bad after that. Some one said fuel pump cannister could have broke loose. I'm hoping it's just a piece of dirt in the filter. Anyone have this problem?
confused on this one. are you having a harder time starting the truck now. have you checked your filter. what year is your truck may help more auto, manual etc. the rpm issue stumps me. let us know what you have looked at or what you think you notice.
The truck still fires right up. How do you check the fuel filter? I opened the valve on the side of the filter and diesel comes out. I reset the comp by taking off the neg cable for a couple of minutes. I changed the fuel filter still no change. The codes read that I may need to replace the fuel injector pump vp44. Just trying to make sure before I do this.Is there a fuel pump in the tank? Or any other filters on this model. It's a 1998 24 valve , manual tranny, .

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
have codes read at parts store. Your's will not display codes in odometer.
could you have jarred wiring and caused to short?? Check all connections for damage/cleanliest/tightness.

Unless the lp was moved prior to you owning the truck, the stock location in on the drivers side of the engine. Here is a diagram: http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/mt_2_fe...l_sys_comp.htm
