Goerend Single Converter Do You Like

Would like to know who has a single Goerend Tc and valve body and running them with what HP and if you are towing anything with them. There is tons of info on the Tri converters I know they are good also but want to hear from the guys running single style 89 series.

Yes I have already talked to Dave about it. He Said he can't always keep the Web page updaded he has a ton of items not on the site. I am just tring to see if anyone has one and likes it for towing and low hp upgrades.

Single or Triple disc?
Reason I ask.... heard DTT lost their supplier for their custom made friction material that made their single disk converter (lifetime guarantee) famous?
I have a DTT 89% single and love it. No wear or heat signature at 170,000 miles!
Last three DTT installs I've seen for friends were all triples.... which work beautifully also.
Just wondered if they solved their single converter supply problems?

Just wondering where you are buying the DTT TC from in Canada or are you shipping it up from USA. What kind of price are you looking at. It looks like 650.00 for a Goerend tc non Billet. Just wonder with the dollar so good now. It seems like the singles TC are holding up with under 400 hp.

Just wondering what else you did to the transmission besides the DTT TC. Did you put in a new VB and install stronger 1-2 band apply lever and anchors or just the TC

33% better stopping power from bigger pucks and rotors (front only)! Need 17" wheels and 3rd gen rotors and caliper bracket but not new calipers. Great discussion w/ pics HERE
I had brake fade at our local 1/4 mile track (short runout). Also noticed some fade on hwy if doing panic stop.

'Beatle'- I had full DTT rebuild done at 30,000 miles. 170,000 miles later, it still purrs like a kitten and handles all I can throw at it. Will be due for a refreshening shortly, which is normal between 175-200,000 miles.
