I've installed my new 4" exhaust turbo back and haven't seen any mpg improvement. Actually, the mpg have dropped with local 35 mph driving. The next few days I'll be driving on four lanes and faster cruising speeds.

I'll keep ya'll posted

FWIW

I was having fits wondering why my mileage was down about 2-3 mpg even on highway! Took my map and iat sensors out and they didn't even NEED to be cleaned. THEN I checked my tires. Right rear was way low, others were off 5-15 lbs. Topped them all up and bingo, I just got back from a 2500km hunting round trip loaded up with my ATV in the back and I got 18.1 mpg average. Tire pressure is critical. JMHO.

Last roadtrip I made I had to fill them up to 80pis. I haven't brought them back done yet. So if anything mine are overfilled, and mileage done seem pretty good considering how I drive. But a bad LP does keep me from WOT

The better banjo bolts seem to help the longevity of the lift pump. And just for GP's, I get 22 unloaded and 15 towing 10K, all the mods I did seem to have improved the mileage, as long as you keep your foot out of it!!!!!

Under powered diesels tend to get crappy fuel mileage and so do vehicles with underinflated tires. I'm just not so sure about cleaning that IAT sensor. Air temp is usually pretty constant so the sensor does not have to respond fast so small amount of build up should not matter. Cleaning the temp sensor will not recalibrate it.

However, replacing the IAT sensor may show a significant difference as the sensors ability to read high and low temperatures will probably diminish over time and use.

So far the 4" exhaust hasn't helped mpg, in fact it has decreased a little. The pedal is very peppy and the truck accelerates much fatser. Maybe it's just my big foot!
