Fuel Pump and Warranty Question
Well I was driving my truck today left the stop sign 2nd to 3rd and then rolled to the light and my truck stopped running. I don't have a fuel pressure guage yet so I don't know what my fuel pressure was. I pulled the plug on the fuel filter housing and the lp pushes fuel out the hole but when cranking over the engine the fuel pump won't push any fuel out of the injector line. The chip was on 3-3 and I didn't get in the throttle very hard.
I thought of taking it in to the dealer but I am not sure how the 100k mile warranty works. Is there a number of yrs or just miles?
Thanks for the help!

The warranty is 5 years or 100,000 miles, whatever come first, so you are out of warranty. Without a FP guage you really don't know what is going on. Low flow will have killed your IP. My guess is that is what has happened, but you can pull the codes, or tow it to the shop for a complete diagnostic evaluation.

If you have a visible wire tap on your injection pump you will be extremely lucky if Dealer will fix for the wire tap voids warranty. The early vp44 trucks have been known to be killed by Comp and Drag Comp boxes low lift pump pressure kills them as well
