I just installed a low fuel pressure light last night on my 99. On the first start after the install. When I hit the key the light went out after a few seconds. Started and ran fine. The next time the light stayed on and I cannot hear the pump running. Today, same thing, one time it did the others not. Relay has power.
Am I missing something, Or is it time for a new lift pump?

May want to check the connection on the LP. May have come loose and not making full contact which causes it to come off then on again.

 

Verify your actual fuel pressure with a guage.

 

I checked it with a gauge and it was zero. I have not been able to get it to come on when I had the gauge on it.

I just tried a jumper hot wire to the pump and it seems to be running rough. Guess I'll swap it out in the morning.
