Im going to redue the fuel line from the tank to a new LP which is in the stock location and also put in a inline filter before the LP, But my question is I want to go braided to prevent collapse and also increase the size from 3/8 (stock). I noticed alot of the companies are selling -6AN and -8AN--and also 3/8 and 1/2.. What size is -6AN and what size is -8an...I think that -8An has a inside dia close to 1/2 but uses 3/8 fittings--is this true. If so what is -6AN close to

The AN fittings work on a 1/16th inch sizing. -8AN is 8/16 th's or 1/2 inch, -6AN is 3/8 inch.

I'm assuming you have a VP powered truck. You should fill in your signature so we know what you drive. If this is the case, the stock lift pump has a hard enough time sucking fuel up to the VP let alone thru another filter.

If your going to go thru all this to change out the lines and add a pre-filter, take the extra time and move the pump down to the frame in front of the fuel tank, it will make a big difference.

Pumps push fuel a lot better than sucking it.
