Wouldn't it be best to run a Vein style pump as a pusher, so' in case it fails the LP can still pull fuel past the vein pump. Plus Vein style pumps are cheap and you can get them anywhere.

You already have a vane type pump, you need a gerotor pump, they are also cheap and long lasting.
