Fuel leak...ideas?

hey all, just finished changing the fuel filter on my buddy's '00 24 valve. Everything went fine, but after priming the fuel system and starting the truck, we noticed fuel leaking out of the drain tube... The drain valve was closed, but it was still dripping quite a bit of fuel. I would say about one drip/second. We actuated the valve a few times but it still was leaking.

Any thoughts are appreciated. I was thinking we should just drain the housing, remove the drain valve/tubing and clean it out...??? Ideas?

Thanks
Scott
