Fuel Leak

I have had an off and on fuel leak in the fuel filter area that I have not been able to locate. When ever I would take the time to look at that area everything was dry. When I was in a hurry and did not have time to check I would see a small area under the truck that was damp and was not oil.
Last week I saw the damp area again and this time I did check it out. I found a small amount of fuel leaking around the fuel filter drain located towards the front of the canister. It was not coming from the top of the valve but from where the valve assembly fastens to the fuel filter canister. I was on the road at the time and when I got home I checked better and it is a #15 torx head screw. I did not want to overtighten it as it is made of plastic. I was able to turn each screw (4 of them) at least 90*.
I have not driven the truck since I did the repair so I don't know if I got it.
Has anyone else had this issue?

nkennedy, thanks for your response. How did you replace the o-rings?
I checked this evening and there is still fuel seeping out from the drain valve area.

take the drain valve off, and you will see two small o-rings in there, replace them.

Also pull the drain valve handle/plunger out and replace the o-ring in there, should solve the problem entirely, for a long time.

My 01 had this happen, as have several other 01's that I work on. Common problem, and all failed within about a 5 month time slot.
