Fuel Filter Change

So it appears that most of you guys with fuel preasure gauges tend to change out your fuel filters based on preasure loss rather than just a mileage count. What seems to be the magic number as to the psi drop indicating a filter in need of replacement?

Every bodys pressure is different. When you see a lose in pressure is when you change it.

we change our twin 6cta 8.3's on the fishing boat when we start loosing rpm's.its usually at 3 in the morning in rough seas 100 miles offshore.it doesnt seem to hurt anything as we have 11k hours on each main.havnt tried it on my truck but usually change filters every 5k miles.
