To make it short i snapped one of the clamps on my front drive shaft yoke that connects to the front diff. While i have this out what should be replaced or checked? should the drive shaft slide in and out freely under the rubber boot.

1) The driveshaft slip should be somewhat tight but smooth.

2) Check the u joints and CV for obvious signs of wear.

3) Check the yoke seals for leakage and replace if required.
