when or after a rain the front brakes lock up the first couple times the brakes
are touched ,, after that they are fine??????
anyone had this problem

 

Absolutely! I have the same problem, except it's not a problem, it's normal if you have inexpensive (cheap) brake rotors. What you are feeling is a thin layer of rust building up on the rotor surface which causes the brake pads to grab the rotor when the brakes are applied for the first few times. The problem is worse if you are going slow. It tries to throw me through the windshield! but it go's away after a few stops. Eventually I will change these rotors but the last set was warped and I needed a set quick and these were available cheap.

rotors are the original, but the 1998 truck has 145000 miles on brakes
time to do brake job,
