Fleetguard shortage!

Ok, well maybe not. But I have had a HARD time trying to find a Fleetgaurd filter for my Cummins the past week. Peterbuilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner dont have any. But they can get ahold of them in about 2-4 days on average. I resorted to a Mopar oil filter right from Dodge, I got it for just over $13.00 USD.
The parts guy also asked if I wanted any oil, I told him no, because i can get Mobil Delvac 15/40 cheapest at Walmart.. That lead to the conversation of what kind of oil Mopar is using. Both parts guys told me Dodge has a contract with Pennzoil??? Anyone have any info on this? However my real question is, Does anyone know who makes Mopar filters these days?

Sure wish DTR would sell Fleetgaurd!

I believe Fleetguard makes the Mopar labeled filter but it may not be a stratopore--Also I think the Cummins comes with Valvoline premium blue from the factory.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Oil sold by Dodge dealers vary as to who actually distilled the oil. It is a base stock oil with the oil dealer adding the correct additives and selling with a Chrysler label and paying a royality to Chrysler. Bulk oil delivered to dealer by oil vendor. Canned oil delivered by Chrysler parts may have been made by different oil distiller. confusing - yes. Just accept that oil brand is not a single vendor item today.

I get the service pack from Geno's garage. 4 FG Stratopores and 2 fuel filters for like 75 bucks. They drop the air filter for me since I run a BHAF.

I get all of my filters from FleetguardFilterStore.com. They even carry the replacement filters for my AD150. Very reasonable prices.
