Question Fan Belt

Any tips or tricks other than just pulling the idler out of the way.Thanks

There is no special trick to it. You just insert a breaker bar in the idler and pull it back. After that you can pop the belt off and thread the new one.

After you remove the belt, check the idler itself for any play or grinding in the bearing. A bad idler will tear up a new belt and leave you stranded.

When the belt is off I usually give all of the pulleys a quick hit with a wire brush to clean out any debris then spray them with brake cleaner before installing the new belt. Just to make sure everything is clean.
