Cummins 5.9 Isb

I HAVE AN INTERMITTANT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND NO HARD CODES STORED. BATTERIES TEST GOOD. IT IS AN 02. 3OK ON IT. I HAVE ONLY HAD IT A SHORT TIME. CHECKED PIN FIT OF ALL I COULD ACCESS.

SEEMS TO BE ACCELERATOR RELATED. I CAN TAP THE PEDAL WHEN LIGHT IS ON AND THE LIGHT WILL USUALLY GO OUT.

IT GETS WORSE AS THE DAYTIME TEMP INCREASES. HAS MOST RECENTLY STARTED COMING ON AT IDLE. CAN TAP THE PEDAL AND LIGHT GOES OUT.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Try this:

If it is tied to the accelerator, that might be the ticket.

Welcome to the board, enjoy your stay.

I would bet that give it a little time and it will set a code. The codes are linked to the check engine light. You might try a scanner on it if you are reading the codes from the odometer. Go to any autozone and they will read them free.

Here is the cycle, ON - OFF - ON - OFF - ON. It has to be on for this to work. The odometer will go into self check and show all codes that have registered in the computer. IT will show you each code twice.
