Ever heard this?

This past weekend my tranny messed up. It would not shift out of low gear. I took it to my diesel performance shop and told him what was happening and asked him to check it out. The next day I went back over there, he wanted to drive it to see what it was doing. We drove it down the road, and then he said lets put some fuel in it. The light was on, just under the 1/8 mark. He said I bet when we put fuel in it it will shift just fine. I didnt believe him. Sure enough when we did it shifted just fine and still is. Has anyone heard of this happening? I asked him how he knew that, it had happen to another guy that brought his in.

I know the other guy too. I asked him about it and he said that as long as he keeps his truck above 1/4 tank he is alright. My mechanic told me to let it get low again and try it when I'm close to some fuel.

Talking

I had the same issue with my old 95' Ram 1500 GASSER. As long as the tank was 1/4 or better it ran fine, let it get low and it was like it had water or something in it. I drained the tank after I wrecked it and I couldn't find anything in the tank that would cause this. Strange ain't it.............
