Yeah, thats called a winter front and they work very well.

Thanks for the link, I might try that out. I already have the winter front from dodge an engine block heater, so I might stick with this.

how long should i plug my block heater in at night?? all night or for only a couple hours before i leave in the morning?? im sure i can get some kind ofa timer

Couple of hours is fine. Unless it were going to be in the negatives, then I would leave it plugged up.

Leave it in all night, no need to get up in the middle of the night to plug it in.

Timmer that way you dont have to get up Its got to be a pretty good timer though i think 20-30 amp draw i may be full of BS though.
