had new 50 hp injectors put in and the truck seemed to run ruffed had new vp44 put in and no real change.after its warmed up if you rev it to 2k you can get it to start missing. today it was up over 70 outside and no miss ran smooth
could this be electrical ?

 

When a diesel misses its usually a fueling problem since there is no ignition.
It could be the EZ.
You may have a bad injector.
You may have a bad vp44, which could have an electronics issue.

 

i unplugged the ez and it still missed part of the time so i have ruled that part out,i am running about fourteen lbs at idle at the vp44.

 

when I had 90hp injectors and now the 150hp I had a distictive lope not as much as a miss. also how long has it been since your fuel filter has been changed? any codes. recent mechanical work besides the injectors.. also any leaks can be seen from the injectors or connecting tubes. do u know how to pull them and see if there is. is your fuel pressure gauge bouncing around or moving when it misses. if it did not do this prior to install than would think it is related to that. bad install or its more of a stumble do to bigger injectors.

 

the prob started after the inj were put in,i then had a vp44 put in, have never done checking of the injectors install,running a fass pump with a new filter,will check the pressure drop when the miss starts. overtime i take it back to the guys who put in the injectors at Source Automotive they can't get it to miss, i am working on getting it to miss when its there, i think its and injectors but when they hook the comp up to it it shows nothing ,have never had a code on this.
